{"id":2118,"date":"2026-01-29T14:29:15","date_gmt":"2026-01-29T14:29:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.comc.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=2118"},"modified":"2026-01-29T14:29:15","modified_gmt":"2026-01-29T14:29:15","slug":"college-of-mass-communication-discusses-masters-thesis-on-the-public-perception-of-digital-government-services-in-iraq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.comc.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=2118","title":{"rendered":"College of Mass Communication Discusses Master\u2019s Thesis on the Public Perception of Digital Government Services in Iraq"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad recently hosted the defense of the master\u2019s thesis titled <em>\u201cThe Public Perception of Digital Government Services in Iraq: A Field Study on the e-Government Portal \u2018Aur\u2019 Among the Iraqi Public,\u201d<\/em> submitted by Ms. Ban Fawzi Hamid from the Department of Public Relations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Nahid Fadel Zidan as Chair, Assistant Prof. Dr. Zeina Abdulkhaleq as Supervisor, with membership including Assistant Prof. Dr. Ria Qahtan, and Assistant Prof. Dr. Arak Ghanem Mohammed as an external member.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The study aimed to identify the overall image of the <em>Aur<\/em> portal as perceived by the public in Baghdad, determine the types of government services that citizens prefer to use, and examine the portal\u2019s responsiveness to the public\u2019s inquiries and interactions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The researcher concluded several key findings: the statement <em>\u201cThe portal helps me save time in obtaining digital government services\u201d<\/em> ranked highest in shaping the overall perception of the <em>Aur<\/em> portal among Baghdad\u2019s public. Regarding service topics, <em>\u201cPersonal Affairs and Civil Status\u201d<\/em> was the most sought-after category of government services.
