The \u201cAmbassadors of Compassion\u201d team from the Digital Journalism Department at the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad organized a humanitarian initiative to host a collective Iftar at Dar Al-Rahma for the Elderly and Orphans, with the participation of faculty members and students. The campaign reflects the spirit of solidarity and social responsibility.
\nSupervised by Dr. Mohammed Ali Abdul-Jabbar, the team ensured that residents enjoyed a communal Iftar meal while experiencing a warm and compassionate atmosphere. The initiative aimed to bring joy to the hearts of the elderly and orphans and to reinforce values of social cohesion.
\nSeveral female faculty members from the Digital Journalism Department attended the event, highlighting the importance of such activities in fostering students\u2019 humanitarian awareness and linking academic work with community service.
\nMembers of the \u201cAmbassadors of Compassion\u201d team expressed their happiness in participating, emphasizing that the mission of media extends beyond reporting news to include promoting values of compassion, cooperation, and social initiative.
\nThis campaign is part of the community engagement programs consistently supported by the Digital Journalism Department at the College of Mass Communication, aligning with the University of Baghdad\u2019s efforts to encourage humanitarian initiatives and contribute to sustainable development goals, particularly in enhancing social solidarity and supporting the most vulnerable groups in society.<\/p>\n
