The College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad held, on Wednesday, a media oath ceremony for its fourth-year graduating students, attended by the Dean, members of the College Council, and a number of faculty members, in a well-organised setting that reflected the institution\u2019s standing and its commitment to honouring its students.<\/p>\n

The ceremony saw broad participation from academic staff and graduates, as students took the media oath in a carefully prepared hall that embodied discipline and organisation, marking their transition into professional media practice.<\/p>\n

In his address, the Dean, Professor Dr Ammar Taher Mohammed, stressed that \u201cthe media oath represents a professional and ethical commitment, not merely a symbolic tradition,\u201d noting that the College is dedicated to preparing students to responsibly convey the truth, serve society, and effectively engage in the labour market.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr Haider Ahmed Al-Qatbi, administered the oath, which was recited in unison by the students in a scene reflecting a strong sense of belonging and responsibility, in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, who contributed to organising and overseeing the event.<\/p>\n

This event forms part of the College\u2019s ongoing efforts to equip its students and enhance their professional readiness in line with the demands of modern media practice.<\/p>\n

It also aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, through preparing qualified graduates with professional and ethical skills that contribute to serving and advancing society.<\/p>\n
