{"id":2956,"date":"2026-04-15T08:35:16","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T08:35:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.comc.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=2956"},"modified":"2026-04-15T08:35:18","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T08:35:18","slug":"digital-soft-war-workshop-at-college-of-mass-communication","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.comc.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=2956","title":{"rendered":"College of Mass Communication Hosts Soft War Awareness Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Unit at the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, organized a specialized scientific workshop titled \u201cSoft War through Low-Quality Digital Content,\u201d presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Basim Waheed Jouni, as part of the college\u2019s awareness programs aimed at protecting students from contemporary digital challenges.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop highlighted the mechanisms of \u201csoft war\u201d and how low-quality digital content can be used as a tool to negatively influence social and value systems. It also emphasized strengthening students\u2019 critical awareness to help them identify misleading content or material aimed at distorting public perception. The lecturer stressed the role of media students, as future opinion leaders, in confronting such phenomena by producing responsible and professional media content based on ethical standards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The session also addressed strategies for countering low-quality content in the digital space and analyzed examples of embedded communicative messages targeting young audiences.
