The College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad discussed a PhD dissertation titled \u201cE-Governance Topics on Iraqi Newspaper Websites and Their Impact on Public Attitudes Toward Government Performance,\u201d<\/em> submitted by researcher Aiad Qasim Mohammed.<\/p>\n

The examination committee was chaired by Professor Shukriya Kokaz Al-Sarraj, with Assistant Professor Nuh Ezz El-Din as supervisor. The committee also included Assistant Professor Nada Aboud Jarallah, Assistant Professor Bassem Waheed Jouni, Professor Shareef Saeed Hameed, and Assistant Professor Mohammed Saleh as an external member.<\/p>\n

The study aimed to identify the main areas of e-governance topics highlighted on Iraqi newspaper websites in order to provide a clear picture of the mechanisms and methods of coverage used by the selected websites in addressing such digital issues.<\/p>\n

The findings showed that young and middle-aged groups were the most interactive with electronic media and digital issues.<\/p>\n

The researcher recommended enhancing the capacity of electronic newspaper websites to manage e-governance topics and ensure that their media messages are guided by a clear vision, in addition to the importance of revitalizing journalistic work on these websites, whether official or independent.The outcomes of the dissertation align with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 and Goal 16.<\/p>\n
