{"id":4235,"date":"2026-06-30T09:49:53","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T09:49:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.comc.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=4235"},"modified":"2026-07-13T15:52:49","modified_gmt":"2026-07-13T15:52:49","slug":"4235","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.comc.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=4235","title":{"rendered":"Doctoral Dissertation Explores Social Content in Television Programs and Its Impact on Psychological Security"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A PhD thesis titled &#8220;Social Content in Television Programs and Its Impact on the Psychological Security of the Audience&#8221; was discussed at the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The examination committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohsen Jalloub Jabr, with Assist. Prof. Dr. Montaha Hadi Hindi serving as the supervisor. Committee members included Prof. Dr. Shareef Saeed Hameed, Prof. Dr. Hussein Dubai Hassan, Assist. Prof. Dr. Inaam Abdul Redha, and Prof. Dr. Mona Saeed El Hadidi as the external examiner.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The research examined the role of social television programs in enhancing the psychological security of audiences through Iraqi television, focusing on Alsumaria TV and Al-Iraqiya TV. It also assessed the positive and negative dimensions reflected in the topics covered and analyzed the communication approaches used to present timely social issues of public interest.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The findings indicated that psychological security was consistently emphasized across a broad range of social topics addressing the realities of Iraqi society and the needs of the audience. This contributed to raising awareness, fostering reassurance, and promoting a positive sense of psychological balance among viewers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The study recommended expanding academic research on social media content, highlighting the limited attention this variable has received in media scholarship.
