{"id":4492,"date":"2026-08-26T08:43:45","date_gmt":"2026-08-26T08:43:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.comc.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=4492"},"modified":"2026-08-31T08:48:02","modified_gmt":"2026-08-31T08:48:02","slug":"college-of-mass-communication-holds-second-round-postgraduate-exams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.comc.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=4492","title":{"rendered":"College of Mass Communication Holds Second-Round Postgraduate Exams"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Dean of the College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr Ammar Taher Mohammed, met with the college\u2019s Assistant Lecturers in a meeting that highlighted their key role in advancing academic development and improving the quality of teaching and research.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Dean described Assistant Lecturers as a young and active academic force with a major responsibility in shaping the college\u2019s future, noting their energy, fresh ideas and ability to keep pace with rapid developments in media and communication.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He stressed the need to strengthen research efforts, develop teaching skills, and actively participate in academic activities and training programmes, in line with the university\u2019s efforts to achieve institutional accreditation and improve its academic rankings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He also called for a stronger team spirit, initiative and a sense of responsibility, urging the Assistant Lecturers to contribute to supporting students academically and professionally. He affirmed that developing young academic talent remains a strategic priority for the college and that the administration is committed to providing an aThe College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad held second-round examinations for postgraduate students at the master\u2019s and doctoral levels, with academic and administrative supervision to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams and provide a suitable environment for students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Dean of the College, Professor Dr Ammar Taher, said the college places particular emphasis on postgraduate studies as a key driver of scientific research and knowledge development in media disciplines. He noted that monitoring the examinations reflects the college\u2019s commitment to applying academic standards and ensuring fairness and discipline in student assessment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr Haider Ahmed Alou, said the examinations are being conducted in accordance with the regulations and instructions approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. He stressed the importance of providing an organised examination environment that enables students to sit their exams under appropriate conditions and in line with postgraduate requirements and established academic standards.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The examinations form part of the completion of the academic year\u2019s requirements and the college\u2019s ongoing academic and research programmes aimed at preparing researchers and specialists capable of contributing to the development of media studies and advancing the quality of academic research.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This approach is also in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 on Quality Education, by supporting higher education and scientific research and providing learning opportunities in accordance with quality standards.cademic environment that supports creativity and excellence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The meeting also featured an open discussion, during which the Dean listened to the participants\u2019 suggestions and views, praising their engagement and commitment to improving the college\u2019s performance.
