The Ibn Sina E-Learning Unit at the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific workshop titled \u201cUsing Artificial Intelligence to Analyze Audience Trends on Social Media Platforms,\u201d presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Safad Hussam Hammoudi, a faculty member in the Department of Radio and Television, with the participation of a number of faculty members and students.<\/p>\n

The workshop was held amid rapid digital transformations and the growing influence of social media platforms on shaping public opinion. In this context, the use of artificial intelligence technologies has become increasingly important for scientifically and accurately understanding audience behavior and analyzing its trends, contributing to the development of media work and keeping pace with recent advancements.<\/p>\n

The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of audience trend analysis in the digital environment and explain the role of artificial intelligence in processing large volumes of data and extracting meaningful indicators. Participants were also introduced to key digital content analysis tools to strengthen their ability to interpret data and understand audience interactions, with particular attention to filter bubbles and their impact on shaping public awareness.<\/p>\n

The workshop covered mechanisms for analyzing audience behavior across social media platforms and reviewed AI applications in text and sentiment analysis, along with a case study on analyzing digital campaigns. It also addressed the ethical and professional challenges associated with the use of these technologies.<\/p>\n

The workshop is part of the College of Mass Communication\u2019s efforts to strengthen students\u2019 skills and develop their ability to use modern technologies in line with the demands of the media job market and in support of the Sustainable Development Goals in education and technology.<\/p>\n
