Ph.D. students from the Public Relations department at the College of Media, University of Baghdad, have launched a campaign titled “Network Marketing… a Trap for Your Money.” The campaign, supervised by Dr. Fatima Abdul-Kadhim Al-Rubaie, aimed at raising awareness about scams in network marketing. Dr. Al-Rubaie led the initiative to warn citizens about manipulation and deception through network marketing, exploiting the job needs of some youth.
The campaign included interviews with official entities such as the National Security Agency, Organized Crime Combat Director, and the Ministry of Interior. Video materials, posters, and printed materials were created and distributed, emphasizing the dangers of these practices.
The campaign team educated the public about the risks of such companies, shedding light on the negative impact on society. Additionally, on November 15, 2023, the Public Relations department launched a new awareness campaign titled “Be a Rescuer… Contribute to their Rescue,” focusing on the importance of quick and humane responses in emergencies. On November 14, 2023, Ph.D. students initiated another campaign, “Enough – Noise” for the purpose of reduction, addressing the issue of noise pollution in Baghdad to raise awareness about its risks and negative impact on human health.
