Today, Sunday, doctoral students in the Department of Public Relations at the College of Information at the University of Baghdad launched a campaign entitled “Gaza’s children are dying while the world is watching,” with the aim of highlighting the tragic reality that Palestinian children are experiencing in light of the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.
The campaign included a variety of messages, pictures and videos conveying the suffering of Palestinian children and the abuse they are subjected to in their homes and hospitals as a result of the violence unleashed by the occupation.
These efforts come under the supervision of Professor Dr. Nahed Fadel Al-Jawari, as the campaign aims to present a realistic and objective picture that reflects the truth in Gaza, challenging the false images that may be transmitted by some Western media.
Dr. Al-Jawari stressed that “the campaign’s ambition is to use social media to convey the painful truth and solidarity with Palestinian children, despite the attempts of some media outlets to mislead and manipulate information.”
These efforts come within the framework of seeking to raise awareness and spread awareness about the difficult humanitarian conditions faced by children in the Gaza Strip in the sisterly State of Palestine. This campaign also achieves the sixteenth goal of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals related to peace and justice.
