Today, Thursday, undergraduate students in the Public Relations department at the College of Media, University of Baghdad, successfully organized an awareness campaign under the slogan “Together Against Demeaning Content.” The campaign aims to promote awareness and boycott negative and harmful content on social media platforms.

Initiated by the students, the campaign encourages the community to engage in constructive and meaningful discussions, urging them to adopt positive attitudes and steer clear of harmful and demeaning content circulated by some activists and content creators on social media.

Supervised by Dr. Joudat Jasim Mohammed, Dr. Ali Sadeq Dawood, and Dr. Huda Hassan Wadhah, the students focused their efforts on raising awareness about the importance of maintaining the quality and credibility of digital content. They distributed flyers and publications encouraging the boycott of demeaning content.

The campaign supervisors emphasized the “significance of such effective campaigns in supporting positive content and enhancing awareness among youth about the potential dangers of negative content on the internet, ways to combat it, and limiting its spread on platforms.”

This step is part of the college’s contribution to spreading a culture of positive and useful content online, promoting constructive communication, and fostering fruitful discussions through digital media.
