The College of Media at the University of Baghdad implemented a volunteer campaign titled “The College is Our Second Home… Let’s Take Care of It,” under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Birq Hussein Jumaa, with the participation of a group of faculty members and staff.
The campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and to provide a comfortable and beautiful environment within the college campus. Additionally, it seeks to promote a culture of caring for green spaces and the surrounding environment.
The campaign included decorating the entrance of the college’s deanery with a variety of shade plants, with the goal of improving the aesthetic appearance of the place and providing a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere for students and staff.
This campaign is in line with Goal 15 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which focuses on “protecting terrestrial ecosystems and restoring human-nature relationships,” reflecting the college’s commitment to achieving sustainable development and environmental responsibility.
