Fourth-year students in the Public Relations Department at the College of Media, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific seminar on the topic of digital addiction and psychological disorders, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Baqer Musa and Assistant Professor Dr. Huda Adel Taha.

The seminar aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of digital addiction and warn society about it, given the serious risks that this type of addiction can pose to individuals and society as a whole.

This seminar was part of the requirements of the graduation project and addressed the concept of digital addiction and its effects on individuals, as well as the psychological disorders that result from excessive use of digital media.

The seminar also included a presentation of the results of a survey conducted by the students on digital addiction and its psychological effects, where they collected opinions of university students on this topic. Additionally, the seminar discussed therapeutic measures and appropriate solutions for dealing with digital media addicts.

Many graduate students and supervising professors of graduation projects participated in the seminar, which attracted significant interest from the audience. This seminar is part of the important academic activities organized by the Public Relations Department on societal issues.

This seminar aligns with Goal 3 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which emphasizes “Good Health and Well-being.” By focusing on psychological disorders and the negative effects of digital addiction, the seminar promotes awareness of the importance of mental health and warns against the risks of imbalanced use of digital technology.
