The College of media at the University of Baghdad continued to provide training lectures as part of an advanced training program in media development for media and public relations employees in state departments. The program, which is supervised by the Continuing Education Unit, aims to develop the skills of media office staff in government departments with academic and professional expertise, thus contributing to raising their level during their professional work. In the course, which lasts from (May8-11, 2023), employees will attend lectures on journalistic skills on social media, presented by Professor Dr. Bushra Jamil Al-Rawi, Professor Dr. Abdel Salam Al-Samer, Assistant Professor Dr. Safad Al-Samuk, and Assistant Professor Dr. Bayrak Hussein. Participants also deal with lectures on journalistic arts used in social networking sites, presented by teacher Dr. Rana Abdel Latif, and methods of publishing and targeting in social networking sites, presented by assistant teacher Aqil Tahsin Fathallah, and editing news on social networking sites, presented by Professor Muhammad Al-Mamouri.
A group of employees of various government departments, namely the Ministries of Education, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Electricity, Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Culture, Finance and the Military Industrialization Authority, participate in the programme.
The College of media seeks to enhance cooperation and coordination with government institutions, with the aim of improving and developing work in them to serve the Iraqi society, according to plans and visions prepared by the Ministry of Higher Education and the University of Baghdad.
