The “Ambassadors of Compassion” team from the Digital Journalism Department at the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad organized a humanitarian initiative to host a collective Iftar at Dar Al-Rahma for the Elderly and Orphans, with the participation of faculty members and students. The campaign reflects the spirit of solidarity and social responsibility.
Supervised by Dr. Mohammed Ali Abdul-Jabbar, the team ensured that residents enjoyed a communal Iftar meal while experiencing a warm and compassionate atmosphere. The initiative aimed to bring joy to the hearts of the elderly and orphans and to reinforce values of social cohesion.
Several female faculty members from the Digital Journalism Department attended the event, highlighting the importance of such activities in fostering students’ humanitarian awareness and linking academic work with community service.
