The College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad has initiated a comprehensive renovation of its newsrooms, studios, and radio facilities, equipping them with the latest technologies and computer systems, as part of the implementation of the “Renewed Path” project carried out in partnership with the French media institution France Médias Monde.
The requirements of the “Renewed Path” project call for a professional technical environment aligned with international standards adopted by major global media organisations. The renovated facilities will serve as the main hub for the project’s activities and training programmes, enabling students to produce media content across all stages in a realistic professional setting.
France Médias Monde, the operator of France 24 and Radio France Internationale, is one of the leading international institutions in media capacity building, giving the partnership exceptional added value in the College’s efforts to develop its educational outcomes and prepare competitive media professionals.
The project aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, which promotes inclusive, equitable, and quality education. Establishing advanced learning environments and building effective international partnerships are central to achieving this goal and preparing future generations for production and competition in the digital age.
