The Qualification, Employment, and Follow-up Unit at the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific workshop titled “The Future of Digital Media and the Role of Youth in Its Creation” as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2026, with wide participation from the College’s students.
The workshop was presented by students Afnan Alaa Abdulhadi and Mina Mahmoud Ibrahim, who discussed the rapid transformations in the digital media environment, highlighted the latest technologies influencing content production, and emphasized the role of youth in leading media innovation and creating competitive and impactful digital platforms.
The session also addressed entrepreneurial opportunities in digital media, stressing the importance for students to acquire technical and creative skills that enable them to integrate into the labor market or launch media startups aligned with global developments.
The workshop witnessed active engagement from participants through discussions and interventions, reflecting students’ interest in the future of digital media and their key role in developing it to serve society and promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.
This initiative aligns with the College of Mass Communication’s commitment to supporting youth potential, enhancing concepts of entrepreneurship and professional qualification, in line with the objectives of Global Entrepreneurship Week and the University’s vision to prepare media professionals capable of meeting the demands of the digital age.
