The College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad achieved a notable sporting accomplishment by securing third place in the University of Baghdad Athletics Championship for female students, held at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences stadiums in the Al-Jadriya complex, with the participation of 23 colleges from various university formations.
The championship featured strong competition across several athletic events, where students from the College of Mass Communication achieved advanced rankings, reflecting their preparation and skills, as well as their determination and competitive spirit throughout the event.
The Dean of the College of Mass Communication, Prof. Dr. Ammar Taher Mohammed, attended the championship, closely following the competitions and encouraging the students. He reaffirmed his continued support for sports activities and the college’s commitment to providing an integrated environment that enhances students’ abilities in both academic and athletic fields.
This achievement reflects the college’s commitment to supporting youth talents and encouraging student participation in university activities, contributing to the development of a well-balanced student personality that combines academic achievement with physical activity.
The accomplishment also contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 on good health and well-being, by promoting sports participation and healthy lifestyles within the university environment.
