The Ambassadors of Love team from the Digital Journalism Department at the College of Mass Communication launched a voluntary campaign to plant trees along one of Baghdad’s streets in cooperation with the Karrada Municipality, in an initiative aimed at promoting environmental awareness and improving the urban landscape.
The campaign saw active participation from Digital Journalism students alongside faculty members, reflecting a spirit of teamwork and community engagement within the academic environment, while encouraging a culture of environmental responsibility and green spaces across the capital.
The initiative was supervised by Dr. Mohammed Abdul Jabbar and supported by the college deanship as part of its commitment to backing volunteer activities that positively impact society and strengthen students’ role in supporting environmental and sustainable development issues.
The campaign was also followed by Head of the Journalism Department Dr. Azhar Subaih Ghantab, who stressed the importance of involving students in field initiatives that contribute to developing their professional and humanitarian awareness while linking academic study with practical application.
The campaign is part of a series of activities organized by the Ambassadors of Love team to promote volunteerism and encourage community initiatives that support environmental sustainability in Baghdad.
