The Ibn Sina E-Learning Unit at the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, organized a workshop titled “How to Use Mailings,” presented by Assistant Lecturer Israa Hamid, with the participation of faculty members, students, and staff. The workshop comes as part of the college’s efforts to develop technical and administrative skills and promote digital transformation within the university environment.

The workshop included a detailed explanation of how to use the Mailings feature in Microsoft Office programs and how to employ it in preparing official letters, certificates, invitations, and administrative correspondence in a professional manner that helps organize work and save time and effort.

Hamid also discussed the main practical steps for creating databases and linking them to electronic mailings, while providing live demonstrations that helped participants understand the mechanisms in a simplified and practical way. The workshop witnessed strong engagement from attendees through discussions and practical questions.

During the workshop, she stressed the importance of acquiring modern digital skills in educational institutions due to their major role in improving administrative and academic performance and enhancing work efficiency within colleges and universities.

The workshop is part of a series of scientific and training activities organized by the College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad to develop the capabilities of its staff and students in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 on “Quality Education,” which focuses on enhancing learning opportunities and developing technical and digital skills within educational institutions.
