The Dean of the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Ammar Taher Mohammed, honored Public Relations students in recognition of their efforts in organizing the scientific symposium titled “From Noise to Calm… From Chaos to Beauty,” whose recommendations were later approved by the Mayor of Baghdad.
The initiative highlighted academic contributions aimed at addressing urban and environmental challenges through practical proposals to enhance urban aesthetics, regulate public spaces, and reduce noise and disorder in Baghdad.
The Dean praised the students’ performance, stressing the College’s mission to prepare graduates capable of diagnosing societal issues and offering science-based solutions, noting that the official adoption of the recommendations reflects strong confidence in academic output when combined with creativity and responsibility.
The ceremony also recognized faculty supervisors and organizers, emphasizing the importance of student initiatives in strengthening cooperation between universities and state institutions, and transforming academic ideas into actionable community projects.
The event aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
