The Dean of the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, Professor Ammar Taher Mohammed, received the Head of the Department of Media at the College of Arts, University of Samarra, Assistant Professor Ali Mawloud Fadel, and his accompanying delegation. The visit aimed to explore the College’s academic and training experience and its approaches to preparing students for practical media work.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects for cooperation and the exchange of expertise. The delegation also toured the College’s facilities, viewing its studios and laboratories dedicated to practical training, as well as the College’s radio station, which provides students with a practical environment to develop skills in various areas of media work.

The visit reflects ongoing communication between academic institutions specializing in media and aims to exchange educational and training experiences in ways that contribute to developing student preparation programs and aligning them with the requirements of the media industry.

On the sidelines of the visit, Dr. Ali Mawloud Fadel presented the Dean with a copy of his book, “Digital Makeup: A Mediology Study,” which addresses an issue related to the transformations brought about by the digital environment in the media field.

The activity aligns with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, through the exchange of academic expertise and training experiences and the development of students’ practical skills, contributing to the preparation of media professionals equipped to meet labor market requirements.
