The College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, organized a specialized academic workshop for postgraduate students who had completed stages of discussing their master’s theses and doctoral dissertations. The workshop aimed to strengthen their academic and research skills and prepare them for new stages of scientific and intellectual contribution.
The workshop was delivered by Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Ahmed Al-Qutbi, who addressed several scientific and academic topics related to the postgraduate students’ academic journey. He emphasized the importance of developing research skills and benefiting from the experience gained throughout the preparation and discussion of theses and dissertations.
The workshop featured active academic engagement from the students, who raised questions, exchanged views and experiences, and discussed issues related to scientific research and the requirements of the next stage. This contributed to strengthening the role of academic researchers in knowledge production and advancing the field of mass communication.
The workshop is part of the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad’s efforts to support postgraduate students, foster a strong academic and research environment, and enhance the quality of academic outcomes in line with rapid developments in mass communication and media fields.
The workshop also aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4, “Quality Education,” by supporting higher education and scientific research, developing researchers’ capabilities, and improving the quality of academic outcomes.
