The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, organized a workshop titled “Quality and Communication Skills in Iraqi News Websites: Reality and Prospects” as part of its programs aimed at improving media performance and enhancing the skills of students and academic and administrative staff.

Assistant Professor Dr. Noah Ezz Al-Din delivered the workshop, which was attended by a number of faculty members, staff, and students. It addressed the quality of news content and the importance of effective communication skills in digital journalism, while examining the current state of Iraqi news websites and the challenges they face amid rapid developments in the media landscape.

Ezz Al-Din also discussed mechanisms for improving professional performance and advancing communication and editorial practices in line with professional and ethical standards, contributing to the credibility of media institutions and strengthening public trust.

The workshop is part of the College of Mass Communication’s efforts to support the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly quality education and capacity building, by equipping students and media professionals with modern knowledge and skills and promoting the role of responsible media in serving society and advancing comprehensive development.
