The training program for the “Masar Mutajaddid” (Renewed Path) project has begun at the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, in cooperation with France Médias Monde. The initiative aims to update academic curricula and enhance the quality of media education in line with international standards and professional practices adopted by leading global media organizations.
The program is part of the academic cooperation between the University of Baghdad’s College of Mass Communication and France Médias Monde. A number of College faculty members who teach first-year courses have begun participating in the training, which focuses on updating academic content and adopting modern teaching methods that integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application.
The program aims to strengthen faculty skills in modern journalism, digital media, and contemporary professional practices, contributing to the preparation of students with critical-thinking abilities and advanced media skills who can keep pace with rapid developments in the media environment both locally and internationally.
The College of Mass Communication administration stated that the “Masar Mutajaddid” (Renewed Path)project represents a significant step forward in the development of academic curricula and reflects the College’s commitment to engaging with leading international expertise and building effective partnerships that contribute to improving the educational process and strengthening the College’s standing among peer institutions.
