The College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad has begun a comprehensive renovation of its newsrooms, studios, and radio station, equipping them with the latest technology and computers as part of the continued implementation of the “Masar Mutajaddid” (Renewed Path) project, carried out by the College in partnership with the French media organization France Médias Monde.
The requirements of the “Masar Mutajaddid” project call for a professional technological environment that meets international standards adopted by leading global media organizations. The renovated facilities will serve as the primary hub for the project’s activities and training programs, enabling students to practice producing media content through all stages in an environment that closely reflects real-world professional settings.
France Médias Monde, which operates France 24 and Radio France International (RFI), is one of the leading international organizations working in media capacity building. This partnership therefore provides significant added value to the College’s efforts to enhance its educational outcomes and prepare media professionals capable of competing in the field.
The project aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, which calls for ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education. Providing technology-equipped learning environments and building effective international partnerships are central to this goal and represent a key foundation for preparing future generations capable of producing and competing in the digital age.
