The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific workshop titled “How to Write and Publish Research in Scientific Journals,” as part of its efforts to promote rigorous research practices and enhance the quality of academic output among faculty members and researchers.
The workshop covered several topics focusing on the methodological foundations of academic research writing in accordance with established standards, methods for selecting reputable peer-reviewed journals, and the steps involved in submitting research for publication. It also addressed research ethics and the main challenges researchers face during the peer-review and publication processes.
The workshop featured academic discussions and contributions from attendees, who raised questions about improving the chances of research acceptance and avoiding common mistakes. Practical guidance was provided to help improve the quality of scholarly output and strengthen its presence in recognized academic journals.
The event is part of the College of Mass Communication’s efforts to support the research environment and build academic capacity in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to ensuring Quality Education and promoting lifelong learning as a foundation for sustainable scientific and community development.
