The College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad hosted an expanded meeting organized by the University’s Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations with Arab and international students studying in Iraq as part of the “Study in Iraq” program. The meeting was held in the Freedom Hall at the College, attended by Inas Khalifa Al-Sharji, Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, along with representatives from a number of the University’s colleges.
Holding the meeting at the College of Mass Communication highlighted its role in supporting academic and scientific activities that strengthen the University’s presence regionally and internationally, as well as its commitment to providing a forum for dialogue where international students can discuss the challenges they face during their studies.
The meeting aimed to identify the main problems and difficulties encountered by international students at Iraqi universities and to hear their comments and suggestions regarding academic, administrative, and service-related matters, contributing to the development of work mechanisms and improvement of the services provided to them.
Representatives from the colleges responsible for international student affairs also attended the meeting. The participants emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination between the University presidency and the relevant colleges and maintaining regular communication channels with students to ensure that challenges are addressed promptly and the necessary support is provided.
The meeting is part of the University of Baghdad’s efforts to develop the “Study in Iraq” program and strengthen its position as an attractive educational destination for international students. The College of Mass Communication reaffirmed its commitment to hosting events and activities that support the academic environment and promote scientific and cultural exchange.
