The Department of Public Relations at the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, organized a humanitarian campaign to distribute Ramadan iftar meals to patients and their families at the Children’s Hospital in Medical City, as part of efforts to promote social solidarity and reinforce humanitarian values during the holy month of Ramadan.

The initiative was supervised by Dr. Aqeel Tahseen, Dr. Ali Muhannad, Dr. Rasoul Alawi, and Dr. Haneen Qasim. Iftar meals were prepared and distributed to children receiving treatment and their families inside the hospital, creating a warm and compassionate atmosphere that reflected the spirit of solidarity and mutual support characteristic of Iraqi society during Ramadan.

The activity reflects the College of Mass Communication’s commitment to supporting community and humanitarian initiatives in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to promoting social solidarity and volunteerism, supporting vulnerable groups, and strengthening the role of academic institutions in serving the community alongside their educational mission.
