The Ibn Sina Unit at the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, organized a specialized scientific workshop for graduate students on ResearchGate and how it can be used to support academic research.
The workshop aimed to strengthen the skills of students and faculty members in using modern academic platforms. It provided a detailed explanation of how to create an account on the platform, publish personal research and scholarly studies, and search for reliable academic sources and references, as well as organize and store them in ways that support students’ and faculty members’ research activities.
The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Raya Qahtan Ahmed and Lecturer Dr. Aqeel Tahseen, who reviewed the platform’s key features for researchers and its role in promoting scholarly communication and knowledge exchange in line with global developments in academic research.
The workshop received strong engagement from the students, who showed considerable interest in the topics presented and emphasized the importance of such initiatives in developing their research skills and improving the quality of their academic output.
