Professor Dr. Ammar Taher Mohammed, Dean of the College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad, held a meeting with representatives of graduate students from the College’s three academic departments: Digital Journalism, Radio and Television, and Public Relations. The meeting focused on discussing students’ key academic needs and concerns. The Dean emphasized the College administration’s commitment to listening directly to students’ views and suggestions and addressing them in ways that strengthen the academic and research environment.
During the meeting, the Dean listened to the graduate student representatives, who presented a number of observations and proposals concerning their academic and research progress, as well as the main challenges they face. He discussed with them ways to overcome these challenges and provide an appropriate environment for completing their research in accordance with academic and scientific standards.
The Dean emphasized that graduate students are a key pillar of the College’s academic and research activities, stressing the importance of maintaining continuous communication with them and responding to their needs in ways that contribute to improving graduate programs and advancing the quality of their research outcomes.
He also directed that the students’ requests and proposals be followed up and that appropriate solutions be developed in accordance with university regulations and procedures. He reaffirmed the College administration’s continued support for students and researchers and its commitment to providing an academic environment that encourages scientific research and creativity.
The meeting is part of the College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad’s approach to strengthening direct communication with graduate students and supporting their academic and research progress, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education.
