Professor Ammar Taher Mohammed, Dean of the College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad, participated in a scientific session hosted by the Faculty of Media and Communication Arts at October 6 University in Egypt, titled “Modern Trends in Media Production,” alongside a group of academics and specialists in media and communication.

During the session, Professor Ammar Taher Mohammed addressed the major transformations taking place in media production amid rapid developments in the digital environment. He discussed how emerging technologies and artificial intelligence have introduced new tools and practices that are reshaping the nature of media work, emphasizing the importance of academic institutions keeping pace with these developments and updating curricula and skills to meet the demands of the contemporary media industry.

He also presented the College of Mass Communication’s vision and plans for keeping pace with rapid developments in the media and media production sectors. He highlighted the key modern approaches the college is working to promote in education, training, and media applications, as well as the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence to advance education and media production.

The Dean also discussed the college’s experience in developing its academic programs and strengthening partnerships and academic exchanges with Arab and international institutions and universities. These efforts contribute to creating a media education environment that keeps pace with professional and technological changes and prepares students for the demands of modern media.

The session featured discussions emphasizing the importance of strengthening academic and scientific communication among Arab media colleges and exchanging expertise and experiences in education, training, and media production. Such cooperation contributes to preparing media professionals capable of responding to rapidly evolving technological and professional developments.

The participation reflects the College of Mass Communication’s academic presence at Arab forums and its commitment to engaging with advanced university experiences and exchanging knowledge and expertise in media and communication.

The activity aligns with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, by supporting academic exchange and advancing media education and skills in line with contemporary demands.
