The Continuous Education Unit at the College of Media, University of Baghdad, held a scientific workshop today, titled “Employment Laws,” which was conducted by Dr. Akhlas Hameed and attended by several academic and administrative staff.
The workshop aims to raise awareness among administrative employees about the importance of the laws and regulations related to their jobs and responsibilities. It clarifies the employment laws that administrative employees must adhere to, including the University Service Law, to enhance the participants’ understanding of their rights and duties and how to apply these laws to achieve justice in the field of university service. Additionally, it empowers the participants to improve their skills and develop their professional lives by benefiting from employment laws.
The workshop included a detailed explanation of the University Service Law with the goal of familiarizing administrative employees with its content and significance. It also highlighted how promotions are calculated in accordance with the law, aiming to ensure that the rights of administrative employees are fairly achieved in compliance with applicable regulations.
This workshop serves as a valuable opportunity to enhance awareness of the importance of employment laws among administrative employees at the university, improve their understanding of their rights and duties, and guide them in utilizing these laws for the development of their professional lives.
