The College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad concluded a specialized training course on website management and development using WordPress on Thursday. The course was held under the “Masar Mutajadid” project, implemented by the college in cooperation with France Médias Monde under a partnership agreement between the two sides.

Participants received hands-on training from instructor Jan Al-Shayeb in website creation, management, and content updates. They also explored tools for organizing digital content and developing websites to meet the needs of media professionals.

Dean of the College of Mass Communication, Professor Ammar Taher Mohammed, said the training programs represent an important aspect of cooperation with France Médias Monde, offering students and participants opportunities to develop digital skills and connect academic knowledge with practical application in response to changes in the media industry.

He added that the college is working to expand its training programs to equip participants with practical professional skills, emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation with specialized media institutions and benefiting from their expertise to advance media education and training.

The course is part of a series of activities under the “Masar Mutajadid” project aimed at developing academic and professional skills and expanding the use of digital tools in media education. It supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
