Today, Tuesday, the College of Media at the University of Baghdad conducted competitive exams for students applying for master’s and doctoral studies for the academic year 2024-2025.
In the past few days, the College of Media prepared the examination halls, equipped power generators, conducted a comprehensive check of the central air conditioning systems, and provided quantities of bottled water, according to the recommendations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the University of Baghdad administration.
The Dean of the College of Media, Professor Dr. Ammar Taher, stated that “the college was keen to provide the appropriate atmosphere and necessary supplies for conducting the competitive exam and interview in a manner consistent with the conditions of the University of Baghdad and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, adhering to rigorous academic standards.”
He confirmed “the commitment to the official timelines announced by the ministry to finalize the admission process for postgraduate studies,” expressing his “pride in the dedication of the faculty members and staff of the college in preparing the appropriate academic environment and providing necessary support to students during the competitive exam.”
Meanwhile, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Shukria Kukaz Al-Sarraj, indicated that “about 310 students participated, including 96 in journalism, 128 in radio and television, and 86 in public relations.”
According to Al-Sarraj, the college began subjecting the applicants to a written competitive exam to accept the best among them for postgraduate studies for the year 2024-2025.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has set July 14, 2024, as the date for announcing the competitive exam results on the official websites of the universities.
