The Dean of the College of Media at
the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Ammar Taher, received a delegation from the French Embassy in Iraq and France Médias Monde on Monday to discuss mutual cooperation, faculty and student training, and curriculum development.

Additionally, the visitors toured the college’s facilities, including the student training complex, laboratories, and classrooms.
Moreover, the delegation will meet with faculty, staff, and students who have participated in the Innovative Journalism in Iraq program, which was held in collaboration with the France Médias Monde Academy and sponsored by the French Embassy in Iraq.
Professor Dr. Ammar Taher stated: “We look forward to continuing constructive cooperation and partnership with the France Médias Monde Academy and French educational institutions as we continue to reap the rewards of success and reach an advanced stage that positively impacts both faculty and students.”
He added that “the constructive collaboration between the College of Media and the France Médias Monde Academy has resulted in numerous training successes, contributing to the enhancement of faculty and students in terms of curriculum, training, and teaching techniques.”
It is worth noting that France Médias Monde is a French state-owned organization that oversees and coordinates the activities of major public media institutions that broadcast or publish internationally from France, including Radio France Internationale, Monte Carlo Doualiya, and the news television channel France 24.
