International and Eighteenth Annual Conference at the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, oversaw the work of the conference’s media committee and reviewed the latest preparations for media coverage and promotional activities for the conference, scheduled to be held on November 19–20, 2025, under the theme “Media between Legislation and Professional Ethics.”
During his meeting with the media committee members, Dr. Al-Qutbi emphasized the “importance of intensifying efforts to highlight the conference’s identity through media, reflecting the College of Mass Communication’s academic prominence.” He also stressed the “need to produce a documentary film documenting the college’s scientific conferences, highlighting major milestones and achievements, as well as creating short introductory clips about the distinguished scientific and media figures who will be honored during the conference.”
The Head of the Preparatory Committee pointed out the “importance of distributing tasks among committee members, by assigning a team of media professionals to each conference hall to follow sessions and document activities through audio-visual coverage, in addition to preparing daily reports and newsletters to ensure comprehensive and professional media coverage of all events.”
Dr. Al-Qutbi further instructed the “creation of a dedicated press section within the conference website to serve as an interactive platform for meetings with guests, speakers, and researchers, alongside preparing visual and printed materials such as banners, posters, and other promotional items to be displayed throughout the college and University of Baghdad, reinforcing the conference’s visual identity and attracting the attention of participants and audiences.”
He highlighted that “the media success of the conference is as crucial as its scientific aspects, as it represents the interface conveying the college’s message to local and international audiences,” affirming that “all working committees operate in a unified team spirit to achieve integrated organization that reflects the esteemed image of the College of Mass Communication and the University of Baghdad.”
Dr. Al-Qutbi concluded by emphasizing that the Sixth International Conference will mark an important milestone in the college’s journey to strengthen responsible academic media and consolidate the values of professionalism and innovation in a dynamic media environment.
