The College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad organized a distinguished seminar titled “Sport for All,” aiming to encourage students and staff to engage in physical activities and raise awareness about the importance of fitness and overall health, as part of the college’s programs to promote a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

The seminar hosted Dr. Abdulaziz Nayef, President of the Iraqi “Sport for All” Federation, who delivered a lecture highlighting the vital role of sports in human development and community growth. He emphasized that “Sports are no longer a luxury but a fundamental necessity that should be instilled among faculty members, staff, and students alike, as they constitute a cornerstone for mental and physical health as well as productivity.”

The seminar witnessed active participation from attendees, who raised questions and contributed suggestions on supporting sports activities within the university environment, as well as mechanisms for cooperation between the federation and the college to organize joint events in this field.

At the conclusion of the seminar, Dr. Abdulaziz Nayef presented the Iraqi “Sport for All” Federation shield and an honorary medallion to the Dean of the College of Mass Communication, Prof. Dr. Ammar Taher Mohammed, in recognition of his efforts in supporting student and sports activities within the college.
