The College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad honored a number of academic and media figures who participated in the Sixth International Scientific Conference and the Eighteenth Annual Conference, in recognition of their scientific contributions, support for research and media initiatives, and their role in enriching the conference sessions with high-quality papers and professional insights.

The ceremony took place during the conference’s opening session, where Professor Dr. Ammar Taher Mohammed, Dean of the College, and Professor Dr. Suhail Najm, Scientific Assistant to the President of the University, presented plaques and certificates of appreciation to a distinguished group of professors, researchers, and media professionals. Their exceptional participation positively impacted the scholarly discussions and reinforced the conference’s standing as a prominent Arab and international platform for academic dialogue.

The honorees included Arab and international figures, alongside a selection of prominent Iraqi journalists who played a key role in covering the event and reporting its activities, reflecting the College’s appreciation for the vital role of journalism in promoting knowledge and highlighting university initiatives.

During the ceremony, Professor Dr. Ammar Taher emphasized that the College has consistently celebrated creative academic and media talents, believing that knowledge partnerships and recognition of excellence are fundamental to advancing media research and strengthening the professional identity of the College.
