The official spokesperson of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Dr Raad Al-Mashhadani, visited the College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad, where he met with the Dean, Professor Dr Ammar Taher Mohammed, to discuss avenues for joint cooperation and strengthen partnership between the two sides in support of advancing academic and professional media work.

During the meeting, Al-Mashhadani affirmed the Syndicate’s readiness to sponsor the Radio and Television Department Festival, praising the College’s academic role in preparing professional media cadres. He also conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the Syndicate’s President, Professor Khalid Jassim, and First Deputy President, Professor Moayad Al-Lami, highlighting the Syndicate’s openness to expanding areas of cooperation with the College.

For his part, the Dean welcomed the visit, underscoring the importance of strengthening collaboration with the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate in a way that contributes to developing students’ skills and enhancing the practical dimension of the educational process.

The meeting also featured a number of proposals aimed at consolidating future cooperation, including organising joint events, providing training opportunities for students, and supporting the activities and festivals held by the College.
