The College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, Secures First Place in Tennis Championship at Al-Jadriya Complex
The College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad claimed first place in the university’s tennis championship held at Al-Jadriya Complex, demonstrating an outstanding athletic performance and confirming the college’s strong presence in student competitions, both male and female.
Student Ali Basim represented the college with remarkable performance in the men’s competition, achieving victories over the teams from the Colleges of Political Science, Engineering, and Al-Khwarizmi Engineering, securing the top position at the complex with distinction and merit.
In the women’s competition, student Reham Abbas excelled by winning three consecutive matches against the teams from Al-Khwarizmi Engineering, Engineering, and Veterinary Medicine, highlighting her athletic prowess and contributing significantly to the college’s first-place achievement at the complex.
This championship is part of the University of Baghdad Tennis Tournament, with the expectation that the champions of Al-Jadriya Complex will face the winners from Bab Al-Muadham and Al-A’zamiya Complexes in the finals to determine the overall university champion.
In support of student talent, the Dean of the College of Mass Communication, Professor Ammar Taher Mohammed, honored the winning students, praising their high competitive spirit and outstanding performance. He emphasized that the college not only focuses on academic excellence but also prioritizes sports activities and the development of students’ skills across various fields.
This achievement reflects the teamwork, discipline, and dedication that characterize the students of the College of Mass Communication, demonstrating their active presence in both scientific and athletic arenas.
