The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, organized a wide-ranging awareness activity under the slogan “Water is Life… Preserve It Today to Secure Tomorrow,” aimed at promoting a culture of water conservation within the university community.
The activity included the design and publication of a visual awareness campaign featuring educational posters focused on the concept of “strategic balance” between meeting current needs and ensuring the sustainability of resources for future generations, particularly in light of the climate challenges facing the region.
The initiative seeks to activate the societal role of college students as agents of positive change by encouraging them to adopt responsible daily behaviors that reduce waste and protect water resources, contributing to the creation of an aware educational environment that values the preservation of natural resources.
The Women’s Affairs Unit emphasized that selecting the College of Mass Communication to implement the campaign reflects its leading role in shaping public opinion and delivering impactful awareness messages.
The outcomes of the activity align with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 6 on clean water and sustainable resource management.
