The Ibn Sina Unit at the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, held a specialized scientific workshop on Google Scholar to enhance the academic research skills of faculty members and students and improve their ability to access reliable and credible scholarly sources.

The workshop was led by Assistant Professor Dr Ria Qahtan and Lecturer Dr Ali Muhannad, who provided a detailed overview of Google Scholar, including how to use the academic search engine, create academic profiles, track citations, organize references, and manage research output in line with established academic standards.

The workshop also featured practical demonstrations of advanced search techniques, result filtering, and ways to make use of scholarly databases to support research and postgraduate studies, contributing to the improvement of research quality at the college.

The workshop is part of a series of academic activities organized by the College of Mass Communication as part of its efforts to promote a strong research culture and foster an academic environment that supports excellence and innovation.
