The College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad began implementing the practical steps of the “A Renewed Path” project today, Tuesday, by finalizing and preparing the academic schedules for the departments participating in the project. The initiative is part of the College’s academic cooperation with France Médias Monde, paving the way for the launch of training at the beginning of the second semester.
The development took place during a meeting between Dean of the College of Mass Communication Professor Dr. Ammar Taher Mohammed and the French delegation, attended by the College Council. The meeting addressed the organization of academic schedules and work mechanisms, as well as identifying the training tracks to be adopted for students in accordance with the French approach and international standards in media education.
The “A Renewed Path” project aims to enhance the practical skills of College of Mass Communication students through modern training programs focusing on professional skills and journalistic ethics, while bridging theoretical study and practical application within an educational environment that reflects the realities of advanced media institutions.
The Dean of the College emphasized that “this project represents a strategic step toward developing media education in Iraq and reflects the College of Mass Communication’s commitment to academic openness, curriculum modernization, and the development of international partnerships that contribute to preparing graduates with the competence and skills needed to compete in the labor market.”
The “A Renewed Path” project is part of the College of Mass Communication’s vision to improve the quality of education, build human capacities, and strengthen the College’s academic and professional standing, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals in higher education.
