The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, organized a training workshop titled “Negotiation Skills,” presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Anaam Abdul Ridha, with the participation of a number of College faculty members and students.

The workshop covered the basic concepts of negotiation and its importance in professional and institutional life, with a focus on effective communication skills, dialogue management, building trust, and positively influencing others. It also reviewed the key strategies and modern approaches to successful negotiation.

The lecturer discussed different types and stages of negotiation, as well as common mistakes that may hinder satisfactory outcomes. She emphasized the role of constructive negotiation in resolving conflicts and achieving mutual interests in various work environments, particularly within media organizations.

The workshop featured active engagement from participants through questions and contributions, reflecting their interest in developing their personal and professional skills and enhancing their ability to manage negotiation situations efficiently and professionally.

The workshop is part of the Continuing Education Unit’s efforts at the College of Mass Communication to develop the practical skills of students and faculty members, in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, by providing continuous learning and training opportunities that help build individual capacities and enhance employability.
