The Department of Radio and Television at the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, organized the seventh edition of the Mobile Journalism Forum under the slogan “Present in Baghdad: Learn… Produce… Influence,” with official and academic attendance and broad participation from College students interested in digital media.

The forum was attended by Prof. Dr. Ammar Tahir Mohammed, Dean of the College of Mass Communication; Prof. Dr. Talib Abdul Majeed, Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs; Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Ahmed Al-Qutbi, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs; and Prof. Dr. Ali Abbas, Head of the Department of Radio and Television.

The forum was organized as part of the College’s efforts to keep pace with recent developments in media, particularly mobile journalism (MOJO), which has become one of the leading tools for media production in major media organizations worldwide. The forum featured a series of workshops and practical activities focusing on photography, report production, and video editing using smartphones.

The event also provided students with an opportunity to showcase and discuss their media productions, helping develop their skills and field experience while encouraging innovation and teamwork in an environment that simulates modern newsrooms.

The College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad reaffirmed its commitment to supporting high-quality initiatives that prepare students to meet the demands of the media labor market, emphasizing the importance of the Mobile Journalism Forum as an effective training platform for developing students’ digital media skills.
