The volunteer team “Tomorrow’s Makers” affiliated with the Public Relations Department at the College of Media, University of Baghdad, organized a volunteer campaign to distribute Eid clothing gifts to 60 orphans in various areas of the capital, Baghdad.
The humanitarian campaign covered areas such as Ghazaliya, Al-Baladiyat, and Al-Sadr City, and it saw a significant participation of volunteer students who showed readiness to provide assistance and joy to the orphaned children.
Dr. Irada Zaidan Al-Jubouri, a faculty member in the Public Relations Department and the supervisor of the campaign, explained that “the aim of this humanitarian activity is to spread joy and hope in the hearts of orphans and provide them with moral and material support on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.”
It is worth noting that this campaign is part of a series of volunteer activities organized by the College of Media at the University of Baghdad, aiming to enhance societal awareness and active participation in serving the community and spreading happiness among the most vulnerable groups.
The campaign aligns with the first goal of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which aims to eradicate poverty, as it contributes to achieving several sustainable goals and promotes societal awareness of the importance of supporting vulnerable groups and volunteering to serve the community.
