The Dean of the College of Media at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Ammar Taher Mohammed, on Monday, congratulated the students on the commencement of the 2024-2025 academic year.
Dr. Taher stated that “the academic departments of the college will rise to the responsibility of supporting and assisting the students, enhancing their knowledge on their journey towards success.” He emphasized that “the faculty and administrative staff will make every effort to overcome any challenges the students may face.”
The dean urged students to “actively engage in various academic, cultural, sports, artistic, and community activities at the university,” and encouraged them to “participate actively in the second edition of the Higher Education Reading Competition, launched by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi.”
He added that “the plans and programs developed by the Dean’s Office aim to organize conferences, events, seminars, and workshops in the fields of communication and modern media, with genuine efforts to elevate the college and position it as a leader among peer institutions in Iraq and the Arab world. Additionally, there is a serious focus on fostering scientific collaboration between students and faculty with Arab and international experts.”
It is worth noting that the College of Media at the University of Baghdad is preparing to hold its Fifth International Scientific Conference and 17th Annual Conference, titled “Media and Communication Technology and Their Role in Promoting Dialogue Between Civilizations.”
