The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, held a workshop titled “Visual Identity and Logo Design” for undergraduate students. The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturers Mona Hamid and Rawa Dhahir.
The workshop explored the concept of visual identity, its key components, and the role of logos in expressing an institution’s identity and mission. It also covered the principles of selecting colors, fonts, and visual elements and combining them into a cohesive design.
The workshop outlined the stages of logo design, from developing the initial concept and defining its message to producing the final design. It also presented practical examples of different visual identities and discussed the criteria for effective design, including simplicity, clarity, distinctiveness, and the ability to communicate a message to the audience.
The workshop is part of the College’s training activities aimed at developing students’ skills in design and visual communication. It supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education by providing practical learning opportunities and fostering creative and technical skills.
