The Qualification, Employment, and Follow-up Unit at the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, organized a workshop titled “Introduction to the Roles of the Qualification, Employment, and Follow-up Unit”. The session was presented by Dr. Yusra Hamza Ali and attended by a number of the college’s students, as part of the College’s efforts to raise institutional awareness of the supportive units that contribute to students’ academic and professional development.

The workshop highlighted the core responsibilities of the unit, particularly in preparing students for the labor market, developing their professional skills, and building communication bridges between the College and various media institutions. It also emphasized the unit’s role in following up with graduates and enhancing their opportunities for successful integration into the workforce after graduation.

During the workshop, Dr. Yusra outlined the unit’s operational mechanisms and future plans, including the organization of specialized training courses and workshops, and coordination with media institutions as well as public and private sector entities. These efforts aim to align university education outcomes with labor market requirements and keep pace with the rapidly evolving media industry.

This workshop is part of a series of academic and training activities regularly organized by the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, reflecting its commitment to enhancing the quality of education and linking academic learning with professional practice. The initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in the areas of quality education, youth empowerment, and decent work, contributing to the preparation of qualified media professionals capable of actively serving society and supporting national development.
